Perspective.

Life challenges can feel overwhelming, especially when it feels like our world has been turned upside down.

Sometimes, a sudden event occurs—such as a new medical diagnosis, relationship loss, or job change—which disrupts our life, creating uncertainty for ourselves and those close to us.

Even expected transitions can bring unexpected reactions.  Having a new baby, starting college, beginning a new job, and moving to a different city, for example, can bring excitement yet leave us feeling out of sorts.

Ongoing concerns can also feel unsettling.  Chronic health difficulties can significantly impact our quality of life.

Struggling with depression, anxiety, work-life balance, or a feeling of disconnection between where we are and where we want to be, can take a toll on our overall sense of well-being.

In the midst of difficulty, it's natural to feel a variety of emotions.  We may find it hard to maintain objectivity.  We may lose hope.  We may forget we have options.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) provides powerful tools for navigating life challenges.  The philosophy behind CBT is that although we may not always be able to choose what happens to us, we can choose how to respond.  We can learn how to manage what feels initially to be unmanageable.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist.  My practice focuses on providing CBT for adults who are struggling with medical conditions, depression, and anxiety.  I consider it an honor and privilege to help people find effective ways of coping, and create meaning even in the most challenging situations.

CBT provides a new perspective.
